We Don’t Go Far But We Do See Life, the latest book from Banovallum Books, an imprint of Mortons Books, follows the adventures of Dutch barge Saul Trader as she travels through the canals of Europe.

Join author Keith Harris and his merry crew on their journey from England to Belgium and Holland through the centre of France to the southern extremities of the extensive French canal system.

The 250-page book recounts stories and anecdotes about the people they meet along the way, as well as the amusing and sometimes frightening incidents that occur during their epic jaunt.

Canal enthusiast Keith Harris was born and bred in the seaside town of Hastings, many miles from the nearest canal. It wasn’t until some years later he discovered Britain’s fascinating network of canals and wanted to explore them. He acquired the beautiful replica Dutch Luxemotor Saul Trader in 1998.

He writes about his travels in the hope readers will find some enjoyment from his ramblings and learn a little about the lore of the cut.

We Don’t Go Far But We Do See Life is available to order for only £7.99.
